Sit Tight

Privacy policy

Sit Tight collects no data.

Last updated 28 October 2026

The camera only checks the spot. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising in the app. Nothing you enter leaves your phone.

Who we are

Sit Tight is made by Chanikul Dechpholkrang, an independent developer in the UK. For anything about privacy, email .

The camera

The camera is used only while a time-out is running or while you are marking the spot. Each frame is analysed on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework, reduced to a yes-or-no answer (is someone in the spot?) and discarded. No photo, video or image is ever saved, and nothing is sent anywhere. A "Camera on" marker is shown whenever the camera is running. You can use manual mode instead, which never turns the camera on.

What stays on your phone

Your children's names or nicknames, birth years, the spot you marked, the time-outs you saved and your reward stars. All of it stays in the app's own storage on your iPhone. We cannot see it. Removing a child in Settings deletes their history, and deleting the app deletes everything.

Purchases

Sit Tight Plus is sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple's own privacy policy applies to purchases.

Children

Sit Tight is for parents and carers, not for children to use on their own. The only screen a child sees is the countdown. We collect no information from or about children.

This website

sittight.co.uk sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, and its fonts load from Google Fonts. Both see your IP address when they serve the page, as any web host does. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Your rights

Because the app keeps nothing about you on any server, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and want that message deleted, ask and we will delete it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
